i think that i would add friendship to that list. the kind of abiding friendship that understands in words and speech as well as in silence. the kind of friendship that looks deeply, listens deeply, and speaks from the heart. hope you are well and happy that you are posting again. many thanks for being a friend of the thoughtful, poetic mind.

I never heard this rhyme before, but how interesting that it came to my attention now. Just a couple days ago, I had given advice to a friend on several activities that I do because I have noticed that, when I do these things, I feel better. I had “suffered†with depression and its accompanying miseries for years. I now know that, if I participate in these activities, depression decreases and disappears. The list I gave my friend was (1) sleep (2) sunshine (3) music (4) exercise. I “discovered†this from my own personal struggle. Now, I am amazed, after all that pain and suffering, at how simple the answer was, how the answer was right in front of me the whole time, and how blind I was to the truth. Everyone needs to know this. I am so pleased to have “stumbled across†the poem you posted. I use the quote marks because I do not believe in coincidences. Thank you, Caterina. People need to know that they can heal themselves.
