Fellow Vancouver Tea Geek Monica and I are starting a campaign to get Golden Moon tea sold again at Urban Fare -- they used to carry it, and no longer do. If you could do us a favor and write them an email requesting they restock it, we'd be grateful!
I also tried T tea on Broadway off Granville, and have been very happy with the two teas I chose (after spending about a half an hour sniffing each sample in the place) Old Blue Eyes and Mad Hatter. It is my new favorite tea company. They give you a small cup of tea when you come in, which is a nice touch.

you should try the monk's blend from granville island tea.
it's similar-- and maybe even better!
We've got a Silk Road tea company here in Victoria that has several teas I enjoy... Golden Phoenix, Philosopher's Brew... and we also have a great recipe for salmon that uses lapsang souchong tea (I don't think I'd actually drink this tea).

I am a spammer | April 9, 2003 5:50 AMif you had walked just 6 doors west, you could have joined me for an "ada cay". it's "island tea" from turkey that i buy from the owner of "olive" on commercial drive. he doesn't actually sell it to the public, but ...i told him how i used to drink it daily for the 1 1/2 years i lived in turkey, so he sells me a bundle of it every few months. it's sage tea, which is soothing and good for digestion..yum!

They also have a website with online ordering available, although it's quite a messy site: http://www.granvilletea.com.

WE recently visited Vancouver, and ventured to Granville Island, where I bought several types of tea at the Granville Island Tea Company.Each one of them was absolutely the best ever teas I have ever drunk. They are "De-Caf English Breakfast", "Irish Breakfast Tea", and "Granville Island Blend". While they were making up my order, I drank a cup of regular English Breakfast, (which put me into a wonderful euphoric state), and networked.
They also have great accesories:e.g. tea strainers and holders. I am pleased that their web page allows me to order directly with credit card.
I think this company should be everyone's tea company. The service is great, the prices are good, (especially when buying in bulk), and the web page is easy to order from.
